Job Description:

SRM Recruitment has been retained by a reputable, London-headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter who is expanding their US tax and transactional risk business in the UK. They are seeking an experienced US qualified Tax specialist with strong M&A experience to join as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling the entire underwriting process, focusing on the US, including confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms, and underwriting requests.
  • Issuance of policy documents.
  • Establishing and developing international broker and customer relationships.
  • Building relationships with law firms across jurisdictions.

Requirements:

  • US qualified tax specialist with a legal or CPA qualification, due to jurisdictional focus.
  • Ideally, a degree in law, commercial law, business administration, or experience in a relevant M&A environment such as Corporate finance in the Big 4 or Banking.
  • Strong customer orientation, decision-making skills, persuasiveness, motivation, and resilience.
  • Demonstrated team skills, responsibility, and adaptability when handling technical issues.

No previous insurance experience is required. Due to the specific nature of this work, only candidates with current US M&A tax experience based in London will be considered.
