SRM Recruitment has been retained by a reputable, London-headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter that is expanding its US tax, transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan, they are now seeking an experienced US-qualified Tax specialist with strong M&A experience to join as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handle the entire underwriting process, focusing on the US, including confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms, and preparing underwriting requests.
  2. Issue policy documents.
  3. Establish and develop international broker and customer relationships.
  4. Build relationships with law firms across different jurisdictions.

Requirements:

  • Be a US-qualified tax specialist with legal or CPA qualification, due to the jurisdictional focus of the role.
  • Possess a degree in law, commercial law, business administration, or relevant M&A experience, such as in corporate finance at the Big 4 or banking.
  • Demonstrate strong customer orientation, decision-making skills, persuasiveness, motivation, and resilience.
  • Show strong team skills, responsibility, and adaptability when dealing with diverse technical issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a smaller team environment with a strong market reputation.
