SRM Recruitment has been retained by a reputable, London-headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter that is expanding its US tax, transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan, they are seeking to recruit an experienced US-qualified Tax specialist with strong M&A experience to join as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the entire underwriting process, focusing on the US market, including confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms, and preparing underwriting requests.
• Issue policy documents.
• Establish and develop relationships with international brokers and clients.
• Build relationships with law firms across different jurisdictions.

Requirements:

• Be a US-qualified tax specialist with either a legal or CPA qualification, due to the jurisdictional focus.
• Preferably hold a degree in law, commercial law, business administration, or in a related M&A environment such as Corporate Finance in the Big 4 or Banking.
• Demonstrate strong customer orientation, decision-making skills, persuasiveness, high motivation, and resilience.
• Show proven team skills, a high sense of responsibility, and adaptability when handling a wide range of technical issues.
