Job overview
Working Full time: 40 hours per week
The postholder will attend supervised clinics, flexible cystoscopy lists, day case, and inpatient lists to develop operative and management skills appropriate for ST3+. Engagement in audit projects and academic work is encouraged.
This is a Trust post and not recognized for training purposes; however, the successful applicant will participate in relevant teaching opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Inpatients: The post offers experience in both elective and emergency Urology. The post holder will be responsible to Consultants for admitting cases, conducting ward investigations, and managing pre- and post-operative care. They will also coordinate theatre lists and participate in operative surgery, with involvement levels depending on experience and ability.
Outpatients: The post holder will assist in Urology Outpatient Clinics.
