Are you a caring and motivated individual looking to make a difference in a fast-paced clinical environment? We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic Urology Outpatients Department, supporting patients undergoing LATP (Local Anaesthetic Transperineal biopsy) and flexible cystoscopy procedures.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of our specialist urology team, youll assist with the delivery of safe and high-quality care in a busy outpatient setting. Youll work closely with nurses, consultants, and other professionals to support diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and compassion throughout their journey.

Prepare and maintain clinical environments for LATP and flexible cystoscopy clinics

Chaperone and assist patients during procedures

Carry out clinical observations and document vital signs

Support infection prevention and control practices

Assist with stock control and clinic equipment preparation

Provide reassurance and clear information to patients before, during, and after procedures

Experience
  • 2 years minimum experience within an Outpatient setting
  • Currently practicing or has practised within Urology outpatients, for a minimum of 6 months, over the last 12-month period.
