Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Urology Nurse Specialist to join our Urology Specialist Nursing Team. The role covers Continence, Stone and Andrology services with a trust-wide remit for continence assessment.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, provide expert education, and collaborate with medical and allied professionals to ensure seamless, patient-centred care across outpatient, inpatient and community pathways.

Qualifications

• Specialist nursing knowledge in Urology pathways.
• Autonomous assessment and care planning within scope.
• Experience with continence, urinary stone disease or andrology helpful.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Providing specialist assessment and management for continence and lower urinary tract symptoms.
• Supporting patients undergoing investigation and treatment for urinary tract and renal stone disease.
• Providing specialist nursing support to patients with andrological conditions, including erectile dysfunction and male infertility.
• Undertaking appropriate clinical assessments and investigations within your scope of practice.
• Providing advice, education and reassurance to patients and families about conditions and treatment options.
• Working closely with consultants, specialist registrars, CNS colleagues and the wider MDT.
• Coordinating care across outpatient, inpatient and community pathways where appropriate.
• Contributing to service development, audit, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to education and development of the wider nursing team.
