Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Urogynaecology Specialist Nurse in North Shields. The role involves specialist assessments, education, and patient support within a multidisciplinary Urogynaecology Service.

You will manage a caseload for pelvic floor and bladder disorders, deliver nurse-led clinics, and contribute to quality improvements while working in a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Current first-level Registered Nurse qualification and NMC registration.
• PP126/127 qualifications or equivalent.
• Completion of a basic counselling course.
• Evidence of practice development and innovation in clinical practice.
• Ability to provide specialist nursing care and support within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, patient assessment, care coordination and organisational skills.
• Experience or knowledge of coaching, mentoring and quality improvement methods is advantageous.
• Must meet the Trust’s pre‑employment checks and relevant UK professional registration requirements.

Provide specialist nursing assessment, treatment, advice and ongoing support to women with urogynaecological conditions.

Work within the Trust’s Urogynaecology Service as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Support patients with pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and bladder dysfunction.

Deliver autonomous and collaborative nursing care across outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary settings.

Contribute to high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care.

Develop specialist knowledge and skills in women’s health during the fixed-term maternity cover appointment.
