We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Trust as a Cancer Pathway Navigator to support our Service team to implement early diagnostic pathways for patients with suspected cancer to achieve definitive diagnosis by day 28.
This unique role is specially designed to support the Best Timed Pathway and will require the post holder to support the pathway as it continues to evolve over time.
You will be involved from the beginning of the pathway working both directly and indirectly with patients, assisting the clinical team in coordinating the patient pathway.
You will have excellent listening skills and be able to deal with people both internally and externally in a sensitive and professional manner and be confident using patient administration systems and database packages.

You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, and have exceptional organisational skills and have the ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
You will have a good eye for detail and accuracy and want to make improvements for our patients and you should have knowledge of providing excellent customer care.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Trust policies is paramount.
Excellent team working, organisational and communication skills are all essential for this post.
The role is demanding so you must be confident and assertive.
