East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC, offers a rewarding career opportunity for healthcare professionals. This 80-bed regional referral center serves approximately 82,000 residents in the East Kootenay area. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency and trauma services with 16 dedicated beds, a 6-bed ICU, and a high-acuity-response-team (HART) for mobile critical care in rural areas.
The facility includes a four-floor building with a level 3 laboratory equipped with PCR and MALDI/TOF machines. The MRI suite features new MRI and SPECT CT machines, with plans for a new CT scanner. Upcoming projects include a new NICU, emergency department renovations, and new oncology and renal departments. The hospital offers a broad range of services, including internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, pathology, psychiatry, pediatrics, anesthesia, radiology, urology, and family practice inpatient care.
