The role includes providing high-quality autonomous clinical care and managing various minor injuries and illnesses. Ideal candidates will possess valid NMC or HCPC registration and have experience in urgent care. Flexible shifts are available, offering competitive pay rates up to £56.00/hour.

Qualifications

  • Registered with NMC or HCPC.
  • Experience in providing clinical care in urgent settings.
  • Confidence in managing undifferentiated presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, autonomous clinical care to walk-in patients.
  • Manage and treat a variety of minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct assessments and diagnostics, including referrals.

Urgent Care Practitioners – Boston UTC

Merco Medical is actively seeking experienced locum Advanced Practitioners (ACPs, ECPs, ENPs, ANPs or Paramedics) to support a busy Urgent Treatment Centre in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, treating patients of all ages with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, autonomous clinical care to walk-in patients
  • Managing and treating a variety of minor injuries and illnesses across all age groups
  • Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
  • Conducting assessments, diagnostics, prescribing (if qualified), and making onward referrals where appropriate

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid NMC or HCPC Registration
  • Minor Illness and/or Minor Injury Qualification (Or extensive experience with both)
  • Previous experience in Urgent or Emergency Care
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently
  • Confidence in managing undifferentiated presentations in a dynamic setting

Desirable:

  • Independent Prescriber (V300)

Shift Patterns:

The Urgent Treatment Centre operates 24/7, offering flexible shifts including:

  • Mornings
  • Afternoons
  • Long days
  • Nights

Pay Rates (Inside IR35):

  • Band 7: Up to £51.50 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Band 8: Up to £56.00 per hour (Umbrella)
