A healthcare organization in Barking is seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners to provide autonomous clinical practice for patients with minor injuries and illnesses. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time positions, with a welcome payment and High Cost Area Supplement for eligible candidates. The BHR Integrated Healthcare Alliance is a partnership between North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) and PELC. NELFT and PELC work together to provide Urgent Care Services in Queen's Hospital, King George Hospital and Harold Wood and Barking Community sites, delivering Urgent Treatment Centre services with 24-hour availability. NELFT is looking for qualified autonomous Nurse Practitioners and AHP Urgent Care Practitioners to join existing teams.
This post is eligible for the Trust welcome payment (10% of agreed basic salary, pro rata for part-time, excluding HCAS payments) with a minimum of £4,000 and maximum of £10,000. The incentive is paid 50% at the end of the probationary period (typically six months) and 50% at the end of year two. The welcome package is applicable to external candidates only and is subject to a compulsory 2-year employment period within the role.
The services have access to radiological facilities and direct access to follow-up clinics and community pathways. The post also attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary (minimum £4,714 and maximum £5,941 per annum, pro rata for part-time).
Induction and onboarding: NELFT places importance on welcoming and inducting new starters. New starters join on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory and systems training and equipment allocation. Induction includes opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. Induction will be held at the Trust head office in Rainham, Essex.
Additional notes: This is a sponsor organisation; check eligibility under the UKVI points-based system. HCAS is not included when calculating the basic salary for sponsorship to ensure fairness and consistency within the Trust.
