Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessing care needs and developing programmes of care to deliver high-quality patient care. You will assess conditions, initiate investigations, determine differential diagnoses, start treatment and refer or discharge as appropriate.

In this role you will supervise junior staff, maintain clear communication with patients and carers, and contribute to discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of care needs and development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients.
• Assessment of presenting conditions, initiate investigations, determine differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and discharge when appropriate.
• Review treatment plans and advise on discharge/referral where needed.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, carers and multidisciplinary team.
