Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled dentist to join the East Oxford Dental Clinic in Oxfordshire for out-of-hours urgent dental care. The role involves working within NHS Primary Dental Service with a 111-access model and reporting to the OoH Dental Operational Lead and Urgent Dental Care Manager.

Responsibilities include handling urgent dental cases, maintaining infection control standards, and contributing to audits.

Qualifications

• Experience of dental software.
• Basic computer skills.
• BDS, GDC registration and performer number are required.

Responsibilities

• Follow governance policies with emphasis on infection control, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection.
• Participate in clinical audit and peer review for the OoH Dental Service.
• Obtain medical history and informed consent for invasive procedures, including radiographs.
• Record clinical data in the computerised patient management system.
• Provide telephone advice or remote consultations when appropriate.
• Coordinate with the OoH Operational Lead and Urgent Dental Care Manager.
