Medvivo is seeking to recruit an Urgent Care Assistant to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Wiltshire, Swindon, and Bath and North East Somerset. The role involves driving and receptionist duties, supporting clinicians and patients using NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours services.

Medvivo operates 24/7, 365 days a year, on a rolling 4-week rota pattern. Flexibility is required, and occasional work outside contracted hours may be necessary.

The role may include shifts during evenings, overnights, and weekends, depending on location.

The Role

As an Urgent Care Assistant, your duties include:

1. Driving: Transporting clinicians safely, vehicle checks, recording medication and supplies used.
2. Reception and Support: Being the first point of contact, supporting clinicians, communicating with patients, maintaining the treatment centre's cleanliness.
3. Medication and Stock Management: Using computer systems for stock control, replenishing supplies, understanding stock rotation and expiry dates. Full training provided.
4. Physical Tasks: Sitting at reception, carrying emergency equipment, performing CPR if necessary. A driver’s medical is required if successful.

About You

You should be well-organized, hardworking, personable, and capable of interacting confidently with patients and staff. Essential requirements include:

• Full UK Driving License and good driving experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Compassionate, respectful, and engaging demeanor.
