Job summary

DHU Healthcare is recruiting for a UTC Advanced Practitioner in Loughborough or Oadby. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with minor injuries/illnesses in a fast-paced UTC setting, collaborating with GPs, nurses and other clinicians to deliver high-quality care.

The role requires independent prescribing rights, autonomous practice, and a minimum of two Level 7 modules in advanced clinical skills. Flexible working options support career development and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Registered clinician (NMC/HCPC/GPhC) with independent prescribing rights.
• Experience in urgent care or UTC settings preferred.
• Consolidated experience in independent prescribing.

Responsibilities

• Be a registered Adult Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC) or Pharmacist (GPhC) with independent prescribing rights as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
• Hold a minimum of 2 Level 7 modules, including advanced clinical assessment and examination skills.
• Work autonomously within a supportive, multi-professional team environment.
• Demonstrate evidence of autonomous physical assessment and examination skills in practice.
• Be confident in the management of minor illness and have experience or willingness to develop skills in X-ray interpretation.
• Demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge of both common and complex urgent care presentations in adults and children.
• Have experience working within an urgent or emergency care setting.
