Job summary

DHU Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our urgent care teams across Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Northamptonshire. The role involves autonomous, high‑level clinical practice within a four‑pillar framework, with opportunities across day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

You will be registered as a Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC) or Pharmacist (GPhC) and hold independent prescriber status.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse or Paramedic or Pharmacist with appropriate professional registration.
Independent non-medical prescriber status.
Extensive autonomous clinical practice with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to take concise clinical histories and perform physical examinations.

Responsibilities

Practice autonomously across four pillars of advanced practice: clinical, leadership, education and research.
Assess, diagnose, treat and refer patients with urgent care needs.
Initiate and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations where appropriate.
Seek and utilize specialist input when needed.
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records.
Work within scope and regulatory codes of conduct.
