Stantec is seeking an Urban Drainage Modeller to join our Northern teams in Newcastle or Leeds. You’ll apply urban drainage modelling expertise from concept through to design and delivery, supporting UK water programmes.
You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team, develop and verify hydraulic models, and provide technical recommendations to clients and project teams across storm overflows, water quality, and flood risk. Hybrid working options apply.
Urban drainage is at the heart of some of the UK's biggest water and environmental challenges, from reducing storm overflow impacts and improving water quality to creating more resilient wastewater networks. At Stantec, our Urban Drainage Modelling teams are playing a key role in helping water companies understand these challenges and deliver smarter, more sustainable solutions.
We’re looking for Urban Drainage Modellers to join our Northern teams in Newcastle or Leeds, where you’ll become part of an established and growing community of modelling specialists working across major UK water programmes.
With a strong pipeline of work and a range of AMP8 framework appointments, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise while working on projects that have a tangible impact on communities, the environment and the future resilience of the UK's water infrastructure.
You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, applying your urban drainage modelling expertise across projects from initial concept and investigation through to design and delivery.
You’ll be part of a wider UDM community of around 175 specialists across the UK and internationally, giving you the opportunity to share knowledge, learn from experienced practitioners and contribute to industry-leading modelling work.
The work you deliver will help water companies make better-informed decisions about their wastewater networks and future investment, supporting improvements in water quality, pollution reduction and environmental performance.
From understanding network behaviour to identifying solutions for storm overflow and wider wastewater challenges, your modelling will directly contribute to the development of more resilient and sustainable water infrastructure.
Working from Newcastle or Leeds, you’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across the UK, contributing to major programmes with clients including United Utilities, Yorkshire Water and Northumbrian Water.
