Are you an Urban Designer looking for a fantastic new role in the Midlands?
We are working with a studio based right in the heart of the city next to Birmingham New Street who have a vacancy for a creative Urban Designer or Urban Designer to join the team.
Over the last 15 years the company has grown to nearly 40 people across 2 offices and included landscape architects, ecologists, Urban design and an invaluable graphics and support team.
Their work has included the major city centres, including the design and delivery of city centre public realm, delivery of town centre masterplans and community-led estate regenerations. While landscape architecture is their core industry, they are looking to grow an Urban Design team to work alongside this part of the business and one of the main reasons for this recruitment.
They have a great team culture hosting a range of socials, field trips, events and team days to keep the team motivated and enthused. Ideas are welcome for one off events and opportunities to participate as a team. They’ve hosted pop up pizza nights, bowling and beers, family picnics at some of the parks and greenspaces they’ve created together, and team study trips across the UK. They currently have a five a side football team, golf club and their popular Wednesday walks for a change of scenery and a chat. You can also expect gym facilities on site and included for all staff, and breakfasts three days a week to coincide with core studio days.
Ideally, for whichever level you think is right for you, they need someone with enthusiasm, strong design and communication skills and lead on masterplanning projects and will cover projects around the UK. For a higher tier grade, you´d play a pivotal role within the residential team, whilst managing junior members of staff and maintaining and developing client relationships.
