Anglian in Norwich is seeking a hands-on uPVC Compounder to join our manufacturing team on a permanent day shift pattern, Thursday to Saturday, 7:00am–7:00pm, with five months of training on Tue-Thu day shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical production work and values weekday time for family, hobbies or studies.

You will weigh and mix raw materials, operate mixers and extrusion equipment, perform in-process quality checks, and maintain batch records.

Qualifikationen

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science are essential.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and read data sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and reporting.
• Understanding of safe chemical handling (COSHH awareness).
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2/3 in Polymer Processing or Manufacturing.
• Desirable: Forklift licence or material handling certification.

Aufgaben

• Accurately weigh and blend raw materials including PVC resin, stabilisers, fillers, and pigments in line with approved formulations.
• Operate and monitor mixers, blenders, and extrusion equipment.
• Carry out in-process quality checks (e.g. melt flow, colour, density) and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of batch formulations, material usage, and outputs.
• Support manufacturing teams by responding to operational queries.
• Help standardise and document compounding processes.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and report any shortages.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and contamination-free.
