Job summary

Moore Teachers Ltd is recruiting a full-time SEN Teacher for an Upper Key Stage 2 class at a specialist school in East Hertfordshire. The school supports children aged 2-19 with severe learning difficulties, prioritising communication and personalised learning.

The role requires QTS, SEN experience, and the ability to adapt teaching to individual needs. Visits to the school may be arranged; enhanced DBS checks will apply.

Qualifications

• QTS and appropriate classroom teaching experience.
• Experience of working within an SEN or specialist setting.
• An understanding of teaching pupils with severe and/or complex learning needs.
• The ability to adapt teaching and learning around individual pupils.
• A strong commitment to the Upper Key Stage 2 class.
• A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Teach an Upper Key Stage 2 class in a specialist SEND setting.
• Deliver learning tailored to pupils' individual needs.
• Work within a specialist school with close relationships with families and professionals.
• Plan and deliver learning for pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to support pupils.
• Maintain safeguarding and DBS checks compliance.
