Part-time Upper Key Stage Two Teaching Assistant

Hours: 15 hours per week (over five mornings a week). Further hours may be available. Job Type: Permanent, Part-time (term time only) Salary: Grade 4, Spinal Column 5-6, Range FTE £24,790 - £25, 183 (Pro-Rata)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of a part-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Year Six. This role may involve occasional cover.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support:

Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and activities.

Work in collaboration with the class teacher to have an effective impact upon behaviour, progress and social and emotional development.

With the support of appropriate staff in school, plan for and provide individual and small-group support to children.

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

Contribute to the positive, supportive and challenging culture of the classroom.

Contribute to the wider life of school.

Student Support:

Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individualised education plans reinforced by outside agency recommendations

Work closely with other subject leads in school to develop subject knowledge and practice.

Assist with pastoral, social and academic tasks.

Provide emotional support and encouragement.
