Location: Wandsworth, Inner London

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Term-Time Only)

Salary: MPS and UPS Pay Scales (Inner London)

Start Date: September 2024

Join our enriching primary school in Wandsworth, Inner London, where we are dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our students. Our school is committed to providing a high-quality education that meets the needs of every child, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are ideally seeking an experienced, confident, resilient and enthusiastic Upper Key Stage Two Class Teacher with a proven track record of teaching SEND pupils and has strong behaviour management skills.

This is a permanent, full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in children's lives and committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Upper Key Stage Two pupils, including those with SEND
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailor learning activities to meet diverse needs
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND coordinators, and other staff to support students' learning and well-being
  • Engage with parents and carers to communicate progress and support at home

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage Two pupils, including those with SEND
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and the wider school community
  • Show a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting all students to achieve their potential
