Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust seeks a capable UGI Cancer CNS to provide physical and emotional support, coordinate patient care, and advise on clinical issues within the UGI multidisciplinary team. The role involves teaching other staff and helping develop clinical services across the Trust.

Applicants should be a registered nurse with NMC registration and have CPD evidence plus a minimum of three years post-qualification experience. GI nursing experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Gastrointestinal nursing experience (Nice to have).
• Level 2 communication and advanced communication skills (Nice to have).
• Evidence and experience of a previous CNS role (Nice to have).

Description du poste

The Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Cancer CNS is a core member of the multidisciplinary team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, based near the oncology department, daycase unit and inpatient cancer unit. The post offers key worker support, giving patients physical and emotional help, coordinating their care and advising on the clinical and practical issues of their diagnosis. The role also involves teaching other staff and helping to develop clinical services across the Trust, working either alongside others or alone.
