Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a registered nurse to join the Specialist cancer CNS team at MKUH Cancer Centre. The post holder will support Upper GI, HPB and CUP cancer pathways, working with the MDT across gastroenterology and oncology to follow patients through diagnosis and treatment.

You will demonstrate expert knowledge in cancer management and provide holistic care to patients and families, upholding dignity, compassion and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with specialist knowledge in cancer care.
• Experience with GI/HPB/CUP cancer pathways is beneficial.
• Strong communication and compassionate care for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist CNS/ACP in providing information and support to patients and families.
• Ensure seamless transitions between primary, secondary, tertiary and palliative care via liaison.
• Be an effective core MDT member aligned with NICE guidelines and cancer measures.
• Communicate with patients and families while upholding privacy and dignity; show empathy.
