The Opportunity

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef to oversee a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.

The Role

You will be a key member of the catering team to ensure that the catering operations run smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch, and dinner times. You will prepare, cook, and serve food, always adhering to procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks, and allergy management.

The role involves working 5 days out of 7, totaling 42 hours per week, with overtime available. Shift patterns will be either 5.30 pm – 1.30 pm or 1.30 pm – 8.30 pm.

The ideal applicant

We are looking for an experienced chef from a high-volume background, with some experience managing or supervising in a busy environment. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Candidates from the MOD, Contract Catering, large Event and Wedding venues, large busy pub chains are welcome to apply. The following qualifications are required:

  • Level 3 Food Safety and allergen management
  • City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Management qualifications and proven experience coaching and mentoring your team
