Job description

Upholsterer:

We are looking for experienced Upholsterers to join our client’s production line, upholstering a variety of high-quality furniture. The ideal candidates will have worked as a fully skilled upholsterer and have a strong background in working with various fabrics and tools.

Job Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: £14-£20 per hour (dependent on experience) + opportunity to boost earnings with piece work

Benefits: On site parking, company pension, 30 days annual leave including bank holidays, opportunities for promotion

Location: LS12
Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday 06:00-16:30 including 30 minute break

The Role:

  1. Upholster a variety of furniture to a high standard.
  2. Provide good quality work to set company standards.
  3. Comply with Health and Safety procedures.
  4. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, sew, and apply upholstery materials.
  5. Handle and lift heavy materials and components as required.
  6. Apply fabric with precision and attention to detail.
  7. Repair or replace damaged upholstery on items as required.
  8. Maintain a clean and organised workspace.

The Candidate:

  1. Must have experience using air powered staple guns and other relevant hand and power tools for upholstery.
  2. Must have at least a year’s experience in upholstery in a fast-paced environment (ideally within contract furniture).
