Transport / Network Development Manager Required to join a UK leading, international multimodal freight logistics provider at their site based in Stanford-Le-Hope.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a strategic role in expanding and optimising the transport network. This position is responsible for driving growth through fleet development, building scalable transport solutions, and forging strong internal and external partnerships. The role ensures operational excellence and cost efficiency across all transport operations, supporting business growth and enhanced customer service.

  • Optimise and expand the company's national and regional transport network
  • Lead a dynamic transport team to achieve set goals
  • Improve fleet performance through continuous modernisation and low-emission integration
  • Create and ensure cost-effective transport plans to boost efficiency and reduce empty mileage
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate competitive contracts
  • Ensure full compliance with UK/EU internal policies and transport regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and align logistics strategies with business goals
  • Drive and deliver key transport projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Previous Pallet Network operation experience (desirable)
  • CPC – Transport Management
  • Familiar with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
  • Proficient in both TMS and WMS systems
  • Change management experience
  • Knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies

Location: Ipswich

Salary: £30K+ Bonus, plus benefits including free parking, pension, and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 24 after 2 years of service.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm
