Upcoming opportunity later this Spring/Summer Season!

We’re hiring packagers for our client, a strong supporter of local food, in Hamilton, ON! Our client’s production encompasses more than 250 varieties of processed meats, including pizza toppings, smoked bone-in and picnic shoulder hams, pepperoni sticks and more.

You will be working in a refrigerated environment, packaging various smoked and raw meats and preparing them for shipment.

**MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WITH PORK**

Payrate $17/hr and we pay weekly each Friday! This is a full time, temp to hire position.

7am each day and ending around 3pm (must be flexible as the end times vary depending on production) from Monday to Friday; enjoy weekends off!

As a Packager, you will:

Packing meat products into vacuum packaging and boxes per job requirements.
Affixing labels to boxes and packages.
Moving finished product into packaging area.
Moving packed product onto pallets.
Bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time.
Following the direction of area supervisor.
Must demonstrate working in an efficient and productive manner.
Must demonstrate safe work practices when using sharp instruments and lifting.
Operating machinery as needed.
Practicing food safety practices required by HACCP program
