We have an exciting opportunity for a Unscheduled Care Lead to join our Senior Clinical team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B Prison located in Bicester, Oxford. On a 12 month fixed term secondment or fixed-term contract.

HMP Bullingdon is a male remand prison with a capacity for 1,152 and provides 24 hours healthcare with an on-site inpatient unit.

Hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am–5.30pm, typically 4 days a week. May require some weekend working.

Salary

This position is full time, with an annual salary up to £57,603 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide leadership and line management for those within the Unscheduled Care team.
  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to patients by seeking out, listening to and acting on feedback so that patient engagement is at the centre of service delivery.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational service delivery and data with integrity, in a timely manner to meet commissioner expectations.
  • Deliver excellence in all areas of the role, providing non-judgemental, compassionate care within the prison that is safe, high quality and in line with CQC requirements; comply with policies, procedures and statutory responsibilities while driving excellence.
  • Promote best practice in unscheduled care, triage and emergency response.

Qualifications
  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
  • Would consider a registered Paramedic or RGN
  • Experience in an emergency care setting
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of working in CQC or equivalent registered services such as HMIP
  • Experience of client management or meeting commissioner expectations
  • Understanding of clinical governance
