Job Title: Cover Supervisor

If you have a passion for educating or working with young people, are innovative, and committed to raising standards, then you could be the ideal candidate to be a Cover Supervisor.

Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Pewsey, Marlborough, Lavington, and surrounding areas to appoint committed, driven, and engaging individuals to become Cover Supervisors/Unqualified Supply Teachers. This role is perfect if you want to work with young people but do not have the qualifications to be a teacher. If you are considering teaching as a career, this will give you vital classroom leadership experience.

  • Hours: Usually -
  • Employment Type: Both full and part-time roles available
  • Pay: Very competitive (£95 - 130 a day depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage classrooms during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and support students in their learning, following the school's policies and curriculum guidelines.
  • Maintain discipline and manage behavior, fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain continuity in students' education and support their progress.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of students at all times, following school policies and procedures.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
