The Role:
As an Unqualified Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and well-being of students aged 11-16 years. You will work under the guidance of qualified teachers to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment in secondary schools throughout Blackpool. This is an ideal role for those looking to start a career in education or gain experience before further training.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting students in their learning activities within the classroom.
  2. Assisting teachers with the preparation of classroom resources.
  3. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students under the direction of the teacher.
  4. Helping to manage classroom behavior and create a focused learning atmosphere.
  5. Supervising students during lessons and potentially during break times.
  6. Providing feedback to the teacher on student progress and any challenges observed.
  7. Contributing to the overall positive ethos of the school.
