Job: Unqualified Nursery Assistant

Location: Leeds, LS22, LS23, and LS29

Salary: £25,000 to £27,000
Start: ASAP

The School and Role

Empowering Learning is working closely with a large chain of private nurseries based in Leeds. The nurseries cater to children aged 6 months to 4 years. Their hours are from 8 am to 6 pm, with flexible, ad hoc, temporary, and permanent work options available.

We are looking for permanent staff to start as soon as possible. Please note, working in a nursery requires providing personal care.

Requirements

The ideal Unqualified Nursery Assistant will have:

  • The ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
  • Experience and comfort working with children
  • Having a driving licence is desirable
