Overview

Unqualified English Teacher - Rugby

Location: Rugby

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term | Potential to Move into Permanent Role

Daily Rate: £100-£160 (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Support students' development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and create a focused learning environment
  • Assist with planning, marking, and assessment tasks
  • Support literacy initiatives and contribute to extracurricular activities
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring English, ideally at secondary level
  • Strong knowledge of English language and literature
  • Confident in managing a classroom and motivating students
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Committed to pursuing formal teacher training routes such as PGCE or SCITT
  • Holds or is willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check
