Unqualified English Teacher - Corby
Location: Corby
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time - Long-Term, with the possibility of a permanent offer
Daily Rate: 100- 160 per day (based on experience and school support available)

Are you enthusiastic about English and eager to share your love of language and literature with secondary students-even if you haven't yet achieved QTS?
Looking for a long-term opportunity in a Corby secondary school where you can build teaching experience and take the next step in your career?

We are currently working with several welcoming and well-supported schools in Corby who are seeking Unqualified English Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. This role is perfect for English graduates, aspiring educators, or experienced support staff ready to move into a classroom teaching role.



Your Role Will Include:

  • Delivering structured and engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils

  • Collaborating with qualified staff to plan lessons and align with curriculum standards

  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a focused, respectful learning environment

  • Adapting materials and delivery to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups

  • Supporting with marking, feedback, and tracking student progress

  • Taking part in safeguarding duties and whole-school CPD



Who You Are:

  • Hold a degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject

  • Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is a plus

  • Clear communicator with a genuine enthusiasm for language, reading and writing

  • Reliable, reflective, and committed to making a positive impact on student outcomes

  • Open to training and feedback - especially suited to those considering a PGCE, SCITT or Apprenticeship route

  • Able to secure or already hold a valid Enhanced DBS check
