THIS IS AN UNPAID VOLUNTEERING ROLE.

Role Title: Video Producers

Location: Home-based

We are looking for a creative and innovative VOLUNTEER who is keen to play a progressive role in the climate action community through the use of design creatives. The Video Producers will support the delivery of the BCI Communications Strategy through the creation of video content. With a strong eye for visual communications, the ideal candidate should have a passion for generating interesting content. The Video Producer - Creative Lead will support the Communications Manager - Digital Creation as well as the Communications Manager - Social Media & Content.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the BCI Communications strategy;
  • Raise the profile of BCI among relevant audiences, both within and outside the climate change policy community;
  • Conceptualize video content based on storytelling requirements for various communications activities including public relations, social media, website, and newsletters;
  • Create motion graphics and animation videos based on scripts and discussions with responsible officers;
  • Create engaging and on-brand audio-visual content (e.g., video explainers, interview features) for various media;
  • Support BCI external and internal events including major industry events such as COP29.

Skills & Abilities

  • Creativity and storytelling skills;
  • Understanding of communication channels (media outlets, social media);
  • Flexibility;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands under pressure.

Knowledge

  • Graphic design fundamentals (typography, layout, grids);
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software including Adobe After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, Toon Boom;
  • Experience with Motion Graphics and Animations, plugins like Trapcode, Plexus, GeoLayers, Element 3D;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, G Suite, Slack, and social media management tools.

Bonus

  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini, Premiere Pro.

Education & Experience

  • Relevant degree or experience in video creation and editing;
  • Proven experience in similar roles;
  • Target-driven work experience;
  • Strong portfolio of visual communications;
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, using initiative.
