Role Title: Director of Programmes (DPG) - based in Europe or UK only.

Location: Home-based

The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international volunteers-led think tank supporting the application of blockchain technology in the fight against climate change.

We seek a passionate volunteer Director of Programmes (DPG) with a strategic approach, relationship-building skills, and the ability to coordinate diverse divisions for impactful projects. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will oversee project coordination, opportunity evaluation, and program planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop programme strategies aligned with BCI’s goals.
  • Coordinate projects across a global team.
  • Engage stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Promote effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify milestones and facilitate reflection and learning.
  • Work with senior management on risk mitigation.
  • Resolve conflicts and issues during project implementation.
  • Build and monitor the programme team.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience in leading sustainability initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing remote teams is a plus.
Education & Training:
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a sustainability-related field (e.g., computer science, environmental studies, business, project management).
