Job summary

LA International is seeking a SC-cleared Unix Engineer to join their client on a three-month initial contract, working hybrid from Cumbria. The role is Inside IR35 and requires active security clearance.

You will manage enterprise UNIX environments focusing on Oracle Solaris, perform migrations and upgrades, configure LDOMs, and design resilience clusters for high availability and DR. Strong knowledge of Solaris, LDOMs, and T-series hardware is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Solaris operating systems.
• Expertise in LDOM configuration and management.
• Familiarity with Oracle T-series hardware (T5, T7, T8).
• Proven experience in migration projects and UNIX system upgrades.
• Knowledge of cluster technologies for resilience and failover.
• Solid understanding of UNIX networking, storage, and security principles.

Our client is looking for a SC cleared Unix Engineer to join their team on a three month initial contract, working hybrid out of their site based in Cumbria. This role is Inside IR35 and requires SC clearance.

The UNIX Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise UNIX environments, focusing on Oracle Solaris platforms and advanced virtualization technologies. This role involves system configuration, migration projects, and ensuring high availability through resilient cluster setups.
