University Relations Specialist (Events) - 6 months FTC

Hays is recruiting on behalf of a global financial institution to hire a University Relations Specialist (Events) on a 6-month fixed-term contract in Belfast.

Your role

As a University Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships and developing innovative strategies to differentiate the company on campus. Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining relationships with universities to position the company as an employer of choice for students.
2. Collaborating with the recruitment team to understand hiring needs and aligning university relations strategies accordingly.
3. Planning and executing events aimed at attracting students, including on-campus events, virtual events, and career fairs.
4. Partnering with the global university relations team for virtual event planning and execution.
5. Working with the Talent Attraction, Engagement, and Diversity team on marketing campaigns for campus events and early careers roles.
6. Handling logistics for events, including registration, supplier management, room bookings, and catering.
7. Managing relationships with logistics providers and acting as the main point of contact during events.
8. Processing invoices related to event logistics.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience in university relations, events, or similar roles, with strong event management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and a university degree or equivalent experience are required. Experience in a global organization is advantageous.

Benefits

Hourly rate between £17 and £37 depending on experience, 35 days of annual leave, hybrid working arrangements, and a company laptop.
