University of Aberdeen Year 5 Psychiatry Block Lead

1 PA / 4 hours per week

Maternity Leave Cover – Until end of May 2026

Consultant / SAS doctor / Salaried GP payscale, depending on successful candidate

NHS Highland Medical Education department in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen are looking for a motivated educator to provide maternity leave cover in the role as the University of Aberdeen Undergraduate Year 5 Psychiatry Block Lead.

Educational support for this role comes NHS Highland Medical Education department and will include induction and access to useful faculty development opportunities, as well as all finalising and distribution of timetables and development and support of the teaching in various areas from the Medical Education Fellows.

Administrative support is provided by New Craigs Hospital locally appointed medical education administrator.

The postholder will be required to be recognised and approved by the GMC as part of the recognition and approval of trainers. NHS Highland and University of Aberdeen are committed to supporting the CPD required for this.
