We are seeking experienced Full Stack Unity Developers to support XR software development across a range of projects in health, military and aviation performance settings. This is a permanent role with an initial 3-month probationary period. We are looking for someone highly innovative who can bring new ideas to our R&D initiatives based on the evolving tech landscape. This person would ideally have lots of experience working with data within XR experiences.

About Cineon:

Cineon is a specialist company in immersive technology that leverages eye-tracking for a range of training and therapeutic applications. Our mission is to improve outcomes and enhance human performance across various safety-critical sectors by applying contemporary research findings in psychology and neuroscience. We have developed data-driven tools called ELE (Emphatic Learning Engine), which utilise in-built eye-tracking to create artificially intelligent XR experiences. These ground-breaking solutions enable covert and real-time estimations of emotions, behaviour, and performance.

Person Specification:

• Unity engine experience (3 years+ in industry/outside of education) with experience working in VR (or in XR more generally).
• Experience in the use of eye-tracking.
• At least some familiarity of S.O.L.I.D development principles or other similar (GRASP, CUPID, etc.)
• Is familiar with underlying computer technologies (binary in memory, data storage, networking, etc.).
• Has experience in optimisation of VR in terms of visual fidelity – such as in the use of optimised textures, texture arrays, shaders and masking.
• Has experience working with, and setting up, GIT repositories.
• Understands the needs of writing clean code with clear comments.
• Understands the necessity for following programming style guides.
• 5 years+ Unity experience.
• Has experience in MR/AR or Smart Glasses.
• Has released a game onto the wider market (itch.io, Steam, Oculus, etc.).
