Job description
Overview

The Outpatient Unit Manager will lead on the day-to-day management of unit teams and serve multiple specialties, supporting the Operations Managers to deliver key performance indicators and service standards and developments. You will provide first line management of the Administration unit, with responsibility for performance, workload management, policies and procedures, standards of customer care and quality. In liaison with the Operations Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriateness of the services and that the performance management requirements of the Trust are met. Operationally responsible for the delivery of the key performance indicators for the Outpatients Unit, in line with divisional and organisational goals and targets, including delivery of national targets like 18-weeks Referral to Treatment, Slot Utilisation and Clinic Template Management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day management of unit teams and multiple specialties, supporting Operations Managers to deliver KPIs and service standards and developments.
  • Provide first line management of the Administration unit, including performance, workload management, policies and procedures, and quality of customer care.
  • Ensure the appropriateness of services and meet the Trust's performance management requirements (financial targets, cost control, quality and activity targets) in liaison with Operations Managers.
  • Deliver the unit\'s key performance indicators in accordance with divisional and organisational goals, including 18-weeks RTT, slot utilisation, and clinic template management.
Qualifications and Eligibility
  • Current right to work in the UK, subject to verification.
  • Qualification of the eligibility sponsorship criteria (for roles requiring sponsorship).
  • Certificate of Sponsorship: Applications from job seekers who require Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered where eligible; not all roles are eligible.
  • DBS: If required, candidates cover the cost of DBS checks (Standard £21.50, Enhanced £49.50) recoverable from pay; bank posts DBS payments must be settled prior to commencement; Apprentices are exempt.
  • Flexible working: The Trust supports flexible working requests.
