Job summary

HC-One is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a care home team, ensuring compassionate, dignity-centred care for residents. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and step in for the Home Manager when needed, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will be accountable for coordinating shifts, safeguarding, and ensuring resident well-being, with a focus on teamwork and continuous improvement. Weekend work may be required as part of rota coverage.

Please note: The hours are 38.5 per week, you will be required to work some weekends but not every, the role will involve mainly working days but may be asked to cover odd nights as needed by the unit.

You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, it's all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. This is a role for someone who's ready to take real accountability. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
