Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Unit Manager Nights for Ashworth Grange in Dewsbury. You will lead the night team, oversee resident care, medications, and care planning, ensuring a warm, safe and respectful environment for older residents.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff contribute to efficient home operations and resident welfare.
• Take responsibility for resident care during manager/ deputy absence.
• Assess new residents' needs and maintain ongoing reviews for all residents.
• Report ill-health and coordinate GP/professional visits when needed.
• Ensure meals meet quantity and quality, with dietary needs observed.
• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain documentation.
• Maintain individualised care plans reviewed bi-annually or as required.
• Handle residents' personal and financial matters with integrity.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Unit Manageryou’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:

• Ensure that all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home, and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Residents.
• Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
• Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents.
• Report any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
• Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality, and that Resident’s dietary needs are met.
• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
• Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents’ personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents.
