About The Role

Your focus as Unit Manager - Clinical will be to support the care home management team to deliver high quality care with a difference by providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a team of nurses, senior carers and carers to provide staff support, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
  • Enhancing and promoting the resident's quality of life through effective care planning.
  • Managing and participating in the rota to ensure that senior care and care support are always available and that the unit is covered appropriately.
  • Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in managing the medication systems and ordering and distributing prescribed medication to residents.

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have
  • An active NMC PIN.
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • At least two years' experience of working within a care home environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
