Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Unit Manager to provide visible clinical and operational leadership for the Chartwell Chemotherapy Day Unit and Haematology Day Unit at PRUH and South Sites. You will ensure safe, evidence-based delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapy, blood products and related care, while supervising nursing and admin teams.

Qualifications

• Significant post-registration experience in oncology or haematology and SACT services.
• First degree or equivalent level of experience/qualification.
• Recognised SACT training/accredited SACT course.
• Evidence of ongoing SACT competence.
• Post-registration qualification in oncology, haematology, cancer care or relevant specialty.
• Mentorship, assessor, supervisor or practice assessor qualification.
• Master’s level study or willingness to work towards this.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership within the Chemotherapy Day Unit and Haematology Day Unit.
• Ensure safe delivery of SACT and supportive treatments.
• Lead staff induction, education, supervision and competency assessment.
• Lead audits related to patient safety, service quality and performance.
• Lead day-to-day management of both units to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Support infection control and maintain regulatory compliance.
