As an Assistant Deputy Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager & the Deputy Manager. Here at Wood Care Group, the Assistant Deputy provides support to the management team. The role comprises mainly of providing care with assigned supernumerary time to complete management tasks.
We are looking for someone who understands the importance of being hands-on with care whilst ensuring that the shift is well-led and being that person to support both the day shift and night shift due to being present for both handovers.
We ask for you to care for our residents like they are your own family, addressing their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meals, as well as supporting the management function through supervisions, observations, rota planning, medication audits, and end-of-month medication tasks.
This is an ideal role for a Senior who is looking to progress to a Deputy Manager in a company that values internal staff development.

Other Duties:
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home, participate in appropriate training, and encourage and support staff in their development.
- Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, developing skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support, while recognizing their choice and control. Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any undertaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
