Unit Catering Supervisor

Salary: £24,310 per annum, 32.5 hours per week
Location: Burnley Heasandford Primary School

International Sponsorship: This role is not open to international sponsorship.

Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join our team.

You will work as part of a team providing high-quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time only

Key responsibilities:

  • Cook and serve food and beverages according to menus and production plans.
  • Direct and supervise other employees.
  • Order supplies and manage store deliveries.
  • Maintain records and stock control.

What we are looking for:

  • Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate (desirable).
  • Experience catering for large numbers (desirable).
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Previous catering and food preparation experience (desirable).

The position is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). Successful applicants will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Further information can be found on the Our Recruitment Process tab.

This is a part-time, term-time position. The quoted salary is full-time equivalent; the actual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
