Salary £13.89 - £16.70per hour (depending on experience)

Location Saffron Gardens Care Home, Prospect Place, Whitehall, Bristol

Hours 36, or 48 hours per week

About the role

Support with personal care needs on an individual basis recognising choice, ability and diversity.

Dispense and administer medication to residents following successful completion of training and competencies.

Recognise and actively encourage the importance of social activity in a person’s day.

Mentor and lead a team within the home on best practice; demonstrating what good care and support looks like.

Understand the importance of a person’s life history and incorporate this into the daily care needs

About you

If you’re an experienced carer or senior looking for the next steps this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Experience in the care sector is essential

Achieved or are working towards Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about working with older people

Excellent communication skills, able to work on own initiative

Competitive rates of pay, plus £1 an hour enhancement for weekends and double time for bank holidays

Equivalent to 30 days of paid annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to the equivalent of 33 after five years’ service (pro-rata)
