Job summary

A forward-thinking Local Authority seeks a Unit 4 Build Consultant for a 4-6 month contract in South London. In this high-impact role, you will drive the design and implementation of a new Unit4 ERP client, configuring modules and supporting data migration. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Unit4 ERP and experience in launching new ERP clients, ensuring the project meets specifications and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience configuring and launching new Unit4 ERP clients.
• Strong understanding of ERP architecture, data structures, and module interdependencies.
• Expertise in setting up chart of accounts, workflows, roles, and permissions.
• Familiarity with Unit4 import/export rules and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Leading system design workshops and translating business needs into build documentation.
• Configuring Unit4 ERP modules in line with best practices and approved specifications.
• Supporting data migration, integration, testing (IST/UAT), and post-Go-Live troubleshooting.

We’re working with a forward-thinking Local Authority, undergoing a major ERP transformation — and they need aBuild Consultantwith deep Unit4 ERP expertise to lead a critical system build.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a new client configuration within Unit4, helping shape the future of digital operations in a complex and evolving environment.

Your Role as a Unit 4 Build Consultant:-

As the Build Consultant, you’ll be embedded within a dynamic project team, driving the design and implementation of a new, standalone Unit4 ERP client. You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading system design workshops and translating business needs into build documentation.
• Configuring Unit4 ERP modules in line with best practices and approved specifications.
• Supporting data migration, integration, testing (IST/UAT), and post-Go-Live troubleshooting.
• Collaborating with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Creating detailed documentation and supporting knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Your previous experience as a Build Consultant:-

• Proven experience configuring and launching new Unit4 ERP clients.
• Strong understanding of ERP architecture, data structures, and module interdependencies.
• Expertise in setting up chart of accounts, workflows, roles, and permissions.
• Familiarity with Unit4 import/export rules and APIs.

Beneficial to Have:

• Experience in finance and procurement-focused ERP projects.
• Knowledge of Altair integration and data migration processes.
• Hands-on experience with modules across Finance, Procurement, Projects, Planner, and HR.
• Skills in data mapping, cleansing, and transformation.
