We are currently recruiting for an Underwriting Team Assistant to join our Tech Offshore Team at Starr.

Role Purpose

To provide administrative support to the Offshore Underwriting team.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide support to Offshore team regarding travel, events, broker and client meetings, and all non-underwriting administration tasks.
  2. Coordinate Offshore-specific training sessions with L&D.
  3. Chase outstanding premiums where risks are under notice of cancellation to reduce aged debt for Offshore.
  4. Coordinate and update all underwriting and operational guidelines and manuals, liaising closely with key stakeholders.
  5. Work with the Offshore Underwriting Operations management team to ensure SLAs are met, assist with reporting, and coordinate training as needed.
  6. Support Offshore underwriters by providing statistical analysis for key accounts.
  7. Assist in producing monthly production reports for all Offshore lines.
  8. Support Starr branch offices in Europe with Offshore administration matters.
  9. Ensure formal minutes are accurately taken, approved, and filed properly.

This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years’ experience in General Insurance or the London Market, or recent graduates/college leavers, who are detail-oriented, problem solvers, excellent communicators, and highly organized.
